This is an easy step.

Create an empty album > connect iPhone to computer and launch iTune < in photos tab, select sync photos from > select choose folder > then select the empty folder you`ve created > click sync < it will have a pop up message or a warning message that photos on the iPhone will be replaced with this new library but pictures taken by phone won`t be affected < when syncing is done, those duplicate albums will be gone < in itune, uncheck "sync photos from folder and sync again.

They have a privacy setting on their account that may only limit photos. This way people they don`t want to see photos wont see them and you have to be their friend in order to view.

Take a picture or save a picture in a different manner by downloading or online , this will create a new album.

Make a new folder and add pictures to them by clicking on them and selecting move.

You cannot create a photo album on lumia but you can add tags on images.
